Class of 2018 Senior Information

Class trip

The Senior Class Trip is on Monday, June 11th, with the buses leaving at 5:45 a.m. from the high school. Students should arrive at the High School by 5:15 a.m. Students will NOT be allowed to bring cans or bottles on board the buses and bags will be searched. Buses will take you to Darien Lake Park for a full day of activities. All meals will be provided. You may bring extra money for souvenirs if you choose. Buses will bring you back to Canajoharie High School at approximately 11:30 p.m. Remember that this is a school field trip and you are accountable for any behavior on this trip. Of course, as at all school events, the use of drugs, alcohol, or tobacco are strictly prohibited. Misbehavior could result in consequences including barring you from attending your graduation ceremony. (Teachers, chaperones, and bus drivers may also prevent you from boarding the bus if they believe your attendance on the trip would be unsafe.) Parents will be contacted for those students who are not in attendance the day of the trip


This is a non-denominational church service. It will be a time that you and your friends will have to gather to mark the end of 13 years of schooling (pre K-12). This year the ceremony has been scheduled for Sunday, June 17th at 6:30 p.m. at Church of Good Shepard, 26 Moyer St. Canajoharie. A time of fellowship will follow. Of course, you, your family, and your friends are invited to attend.

Academic Awards/Scholarship Ceremony

Those seniors who have been selected to receive academic honors and awards will be sent invitations to attend the Academic Awards/Scholarship Night in our auditorium. This will take place on Thursday, June 21st at 6:30 p.m.


Graduation will be held in the Arkell Performing Arts Center at the Canajoharie High School on Friday, June 22nd at 6:30 p.m. Auditorium doors will open at 5:30 p.m., all students should arrive by 5:45 p.m. to line up in the cafeteria and have a group photo. Mandatory graduation rehearsal will occur at 9:00 a.m. on Friday, June 22nd in the high school auditorium. The student council will sponsor breakfast in the cafeteria at 8:30 a.m. prior to rehearsal. Caps and gowns will be distributed at the end of rehearsal. Graduates are reminded that they must wear dress shoes (no sneakers) for the ceremony. Men are reminded to wear long pants. There should be adequate space available in the auditorium for graduation exercises without needing to issue tickets.
