High school library news: 3D printer, Battle of the Books and computer science classes in the field

four high school students standing behind a tableThe Canajoharie High School Library has received a Stewart's Holiday Match grant in the amount of $750 to purchase a new 3D printer that is large enough to launch the Enable program. The Enable program enlists volunteers to design and print prosthetic hands and assemble them so they can be distributed to people around the world who need the device. The printer is about $1,000 with delivery fees, so the district is only $250 from its goal.

The Canajoharie High School Battle of the Books competition team won the regional competition on March 27. The competition team went to the New York State Museum in Albany on April 18 to compete in the state finals.

The Computer Science interns and the Exploring Computer Science class headed to Warner Brothers Games and The Center of Gravity Makerspace on April 13.
