Dear Parents, Teachers, Staff Members, and
The Canajoharie Central School District, with
your support, provides an excellent academic program and first rate
facilities for your students. But there is more to a great school
than curriculum and buildings, we need your involvement in the PTA.
The PTA invests many thousands of dollars in
enrichment grants and special projects for your students. Every
child from K to 12 benefits from the work and funds PTA provides.
These included donations for the Reflections Art Program, Post-Prom
party, music department trip, yearbooks, Writer's Conference, guest
lecturers, recycle regatta, and fifth-grade breakfast. The PTA
raises funds by hosting a School Picture Day; Book Fair during Open
House; clipping Box Tops for Education, and using money earned from
our fund-raising sales. We also host activities for the children
such as the Snowman Showdown, 3-4 grade adult child dance, and our
PARP (parents as reading partners program) and much more.
Membership in the Canajoharie Central School
Parent Teacher Association means that you support what we are doing
for your child/children and their school. This money allows us to
join the National PTA and receive their yearly training, support and
ideas to make the upcoming year full of happy faces and lots of
smiles. So with your $5.00 membership fee you are telling us that we
are doing a good job and you support us.
We hope you will support us by contributing
membership funds today and PLEASE consider giving your time to the
PTA during this coming school year. There are many times that we do
need your help and are very grateful for it. Many hands make light
work, and among friends it doesn't seem like work at all.
PTA meeting dates are listed on the school web
site www.canajoharieschools.org and on the school calendar. The
meetings are at 3:15p.m. in the Elementary Library, unless otherwise
noted. Thank you for supporting us in this endeavor. Just complete
one of the attached individual membership forms and send it back to
school with your membership of $5.00. (Checks made out to
Canajoharie PTA.) Consider giving one of the other forms to someone
you know who would also like to support the PTA.
