2008-09 school supplies list

Click the following links to view the school supplies your child will need to begin school this fall.

1st Grade

  • durable plastic crayon box

  • 16 pack of crayons

  • #2 yellow pencils (made in USA)

  • hard plastic folders (1-yellow, 1-red, 1-green)

  • glue stick

  • 1 BIG SMILE

2nd Grade

  • 1 Large eraser

  • 2 Wooden pencils and eraser caps – each week, please

  • 5 x 8 x 2 Plastic school box to keep supplies in (no bigger please)

  • Crayons – a box of 24 is fine

  • White School Glue – 4 oz. Bottle & 2 large glue sticks (clear or
    white)

  • Scissors – small student size with pointed tip (Fiskar student scissors are the most durable)

  • Knapsack or bookbag

  • (2) Plastic folders with inside pockets - (No Trapper Keepers)

  • Twist Up Crayons (10 colors) Available at Wal-Mart

    Note: You may bring in a snack to eat every morning around 10 a.m., since we don’t eat lunch until 12:20 p.m. If you prefer, you may bring in your own drink for snack time. (PLEASE MAKE SURE THAT YOUR CHILD DOES NOT BRING TOYS TO SCHOOL).
     

3rd Grade

We have estimated how many of each item the children will need for the entire school year so you can stock up during the back-to-school sales when items are cheaper. Extra supplies may be stored in your child’s locker with his/her name on them.

Mrs. Towse

  • 1 ˝-inch binder

  • 7 insertable plastic dividers with double pockets (they come in packages of 5 at Wal-Mart)

  • 3 packages loose leaf paper

  • 1 large eraser

  • 80 wooden pencils

  • 5x8x2 plastic school box (no bigger please)

  • 2 boxes of 24 crayons

  • 2 large Elmer glue sticks (many other brands do not stick well)

  • scissors

  • 2 dry erase markers

  • old sock (to erase dry boards)

  • blue pen

  • art shirt

Miss Yurkewecz

  • 4 loose leaf paper

  • 80 wooden pencils

  • eraser caps

  • large eraser

  • highlighter

Mr. Eggleston

We will be labeling all supplies on the first day. Each child will be given a storage container to keep all extra supplies. Periodically, you will receive notification of supply replenishment needs.

  • 4 composition notebooks

  • 4 highlighters (any color)

  • 8 – 10 blue or black pens

  • 5 – 8 pens (any other color) to be used for self-correcting

  • 2 black permanent markers (fine point)

  • 80+ wooden pencils (made in U.S.A. sharpen the best)

  • 2 – 3 boxes of crayons (24 count)

  • 2 or more low odor dry erase markers

  • old white sock or dry marker eraser

  • scissors with pointed tip

  • 2 – 3 large glue sticks

  • 3 – 4 boxes of eraser caps

  • 7 plastic/poly folders (no holes)

  • 2 inch 3-ring binders (paper not necessary)

  • 1 or more packs of post-it notes (any size, any color)

  • art shirt
     

4th Grade

It is expected that your child will come to school with these materials in his/her possession on the FIRST day. Lockers and desks will be provided for storage at that time.

We also ask that all students practice cursive writing, and addition and subtraction facts during the summer. All students will be expected to do all assignments in cursive writing.

  • NO trapper keepers or mechanical pencils

  • Loose leaf paper (3/8” wide spaces) – in folder

  • No. 2 pencils

  • Eraser – separate from pencil

  • Small bottle Elmer’s glue

  • Small scissors

  • Crayons

  • Art shirt

  • Sneakers

  • Gym clothes – shorts and t-shirt to be kept in school

5th Grade
