Clubs and Activities

Drama Club – Drama club is open to all students in grades 6-8. They participate in a major performance in the fall of each year. The Drama Club will also give three miniperformances that will follow the curriculum for the students in grades 6-8.

Advisors: Mrs. Lauren Goldman and Mrs. Terri Schwab.

Technology Club – Technology Club is open to 8th-grade students. Students meet one day per week with Dr. Pitonza to work on a variety of engineering based projects.

National Junior High Society – Is open to 7th & 8th graders. Membership is based on character, citizenship, service, leadership, and scholarship. Ms. Celia Vanderwerker and Mrs. Kathy Bowerman are the advisors.

Student Council – The Middle School Student Council is an organization of 6th – 8th-grade students who work together with faculty and administration to plan extracurricular activities for both the middle school and community.

SADD – The Middle School SADD (Students Against Destructive Decisions) is open to all students in grades 6-8. Members work together to promote healthy choices and to encourage their fellow classmates to stay away from smoking, drugs, and alcohol. 

CHIPS – (Character Helps Improve Personal Success) CHIPS is an organization of students who help promote good character in our students. They also do numerous activities to help out families in our community. Some examples are food drives for the local Co-Op, Adopt a family for Christmas etc. They are led by advisors Mrs. Lori Schaffer.

Modified Sports: Students in grade 7 and 8 are eligible to participate in modified sports, They include:

  • Soccer

  • Basketball

  • Wrestling

  • Swimming & Diving

  • Volleyball

  • X-Country Skiing

  • Track

  • Baseball

  • Softball
