Canajoharie High School Senior Martin Kretser has won the Montgomery County Cares Coalition’s t-shirt design contest.
Kretser, a senior in Michelle Egelston’s Graphic Design class, created the winning design with his theme is “Don’t get caught up in the DRUG TRAP”. Kathie LaBarge, Youth and Parent Coordinator for Montgomery County Cares Coalition along with director Gwendolyn Ossenkop, presented students with certificates and awards. Second place went to Michelle Battisti. The program’s mission is to bring down the alcohol and substance abuse by our youth in Montgomery County.
Egelston’s class objective was to reach a target market (youth in Montgomery County) and create a t-shirt that helps to deter youth from smoking, vaping, drinking and/or using drugs. Kretser received a monetary award and his design printed on a hoodie sweatshirt. All participants will received a free “Just Say NO” t-shirt.
Kretser’s design will be featured on shirts and stickers. Anyone interested in purchasing a shirt, may use the link provided here.
