Those driving around Hamilton, Fulton, and Montgomery counties this holiday season are sure to see the billboard artwork design by Canajoharie High School Graphic Design student Emma Payack!
Payack's winning design celebrates the Lights on Life theme. “Lights on for Life” theme is in full swing, the campaign aiming to prevent impaired driving, especially as winter holiday parties commence.
Mrs. Egelston’s Graphic Design class competed with other Montgomery County schools to win this year’s award.
The Montgomery County Cares coalition has partnered with local agencies, schools, and businesses to participate in campaign work by distributing flyers and collecting pledges from community members, who thus give their word that they will refrain from driving distracted or under the influence of substances. In addition to pledging, community members may increase community awareness by leaving a light on throughout the season, whether they be holiday lights, car headlights, or a candle lit nightly.
