Dear Community Members,

Hello, I hope everyone is enjoying the great fall weather! This letter is just an update on the Merger Feasibility Study and some information as we continue the process.

We just finished our third Advisory Committee meeting in mid October with the focus on Organizational Capacity. The presentation and notes from the meeting are on the Google Doc located on our website under “Merger Feasibility Study”. When you click the link to the Google Doc the report will be there along with everything we have done to this point pertaining to the study. We have a student focus group consisting of 24 students from Ft. Plain and Canajoharie in grades 7-12 meeting on October 30 and then we have two additional community focus groups that afternoon and evening as well. This process allows the merger firm to gather data, report out with pieces of the study so they can organize and deliver a final report in January. The next Advisory Committee meeting is November 14 with the focus on Financial Sustainability. A draft report of the study will be completed in December.

There is a second Thought Exchange that will be open from October 30, 2024 until November 13. The link to participate is below. Attached is a letter explaining what the Thought Exchange entails. It is important to gain any and all feedback, questions or concerns as we move through the process and formally put together a final study. Your input is greatly appreciated!
